How it all started...
Born in Stratford Ontario, I ventured out to Vancouver, BC when I was 18 years old in hopes to create a better life for myself. After a few years living in Vancouver, I met the love of my life who was ultimately the one who pushed me to pursue my dreams of becoming a Chef.
I eventually enrolled myself into the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver where I was taught the basics, as well as fundamentals of cooking. It was the first time in my life that I felt completely engaged, and inspired! I think back now and can't help but smile.
It has been 12 years since I've graduated and I can say that becoming a student at NWCAV was the best decisions I ever made! Over the last decade, I have accumulated a versatile wealth of knowledge and such an appreciation for food.
I have had great pleasure working at some of the best restaurants in Vancouver, receiving mentoring from great Chefs whom I ultimately owe some of my successes to. It's been so rewarding.
It has not been an easy road for me, but most things that are worth doing aren't. With multiple tears shed, and a collection of burns and scars, I have zero regrets. I know that I am doing what I'm meant to be doing.
I am so excited to continue on this path and see what the future holds for me. Currently, I am Head Chef at The red Accordion. I hope you pay us a visit soon.

The things that move me...
A bite from a ripe tomato with a pinch of salt. The feeling of plucking carrots that were hiding in rich, deep soil. The smell of fresh herbs being clipped from my garden. The beautiful, deep crust, only developed from a perfectly seared cut of beef, basted in brown butter. The sound of simmering chicken stock and the aroma that fills the spaces in a kitchen.
These are just a few of my favorite things.
